CBD is short for cannabidiol, a non-psychoactive plant compound developed within certain chemovars of the Cannabis sativa plant. CBD is one of many cannabinoids that can be found in various cannabis plants. In the United States, hemp is classified as any Cannabis sativa plant that contains less than 0.3% delta 9 THC, short for tetrahydrocannabinol. Marijuana is any Cannabis sativa plant that contains levels of delta 9 THC above 0.3%. THC is another cannabinoid, one that can cause a psychoactive effect when consumed, which is why it is heavily regulated. Hemp is legal across the United States and in many other places around the world. Marijuana may be illegal in certain states and countries. Our topical products contain only hemp derived CBD oil, so you can rest assured that they are legal in the US.
Knot Jo Average Hemp products are made with full spectrum hemp distillate, which contains several cannabinoids including delta 9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC); however, we use only hemp-derived distillate in our products, so the amount of delta 9 THC always remains less than 0.3% as required by current laws and regulations. Stay tuned for our new line of zero THC products, coming soon!

In addition to the federal law, states in the U.S. have issued their own regulations or declarations regarding the sale, purchase, possession and consumption of hemp and CBD products. Certain states have no explicit law that either allows or prohibits the retail sales of such products. These laws, declarations and policy statements are separate and unrelated to any laws governing medical use of cannabis and other THC-containing products. Because of this, Wix (our platform) currently does not support the sale or purchase of hemp and hemp-derived CBD products in the following U.S. states:
Hawaii
Idaho
Iowa
Mississippi
New Hampshire
South Dakota
This means that we cannot ship our CBD products to customers residing in the states listed above. We will keep this section and our shipping options updated as regulations evolve.
